COLUMBUS, Ind. -UPDATE: 7:46 a.m.: Roadway has been cleared. I-65 northbound is closed between between US 31 (near Taylorsville) and County Line (near Edinburgh) on Tuesday morning, July 14.
Shortly after 1 a.m., The German Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to the I-65 northbound at mile marker 78 for a semi-truck on fire. Rescue 81 and Chief 801 arrived on scene to find a well involved tractor trailer fire.
As of 7:30 a.m., The road remains closed due to a crash between Mile Point 75.64 - 79 . All lanes are closed in the northbound direction of travel.
